Warranty Claims
Our Process for Handling Warranty Claims
Filing a Warranty Claim
American Quality Used Auto Parts stands behind the quality of our parts. All parts come with a standard 30-day warranty unless otherwise noted on your invoice. This policy outlines the procedure for filing a warranty claim.
Step 1: Contact Customer Service
To initiate a warranty claim, you MUST contact our customer service department at info@americanqualityusedautoparts.com or +1 708-960-9015. You will need to provide your original order number, vehicle information (VIN), and a detailed description of the issue you are experiencing.
Step 2: Provide Required Documentation
To process your claim, we require the following documentation:
- Original Invoice: A copy of your original sales receipt from American Quality Used Auto Parts.
- Mechanic's Diagnosis: A written statement from an ASE-certified mechanic or dealership diagnosing the specific defect in the part.
- Mechanic's Invoices: Copies of the installation invoice and any repair invoices related to the part.
IMPORTANT: Our warranty is void if the part was not installed by an ASE-certified mechanic. You must provide proof of professional installation.
Step 3: Claim Review and Authorization
Our warranty department will review your claim and the provided documentation. We may request additional information or photographs. Do NOT ship the part back to us until you have received an official Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
American Quality Used Auto Parts reserves the right to inspect the part on or off the vehicle before a claim is approved. Tampering with or disassembling the part will void the warranty.
Step 4: Resolution
If your warranty claim is approved, we will, at our discretion:
- Replace the Part: We will ship a replacement part to you. We cover the shipping cost of the replacement part. The customer is responsible for the shipping cost to return the defective part.
- Issue a Refund: If a suitable replacement part is not available, we will issue a refund for the original purchase price of the part.
Please note that our warranty does not cover labor costs, towing, fluids, or any other incidental expenses incurred as a result of a defective part. Your sole remedy is the replacement or refund of the part itself.
Warranty Exclusions
Our warranty does not cover parts that fail due to:
- Improper installation
- Use for racing or off-roading
- Overheating or "blown head gaskets" (for engines)
- Failure to replace filters, seals, and fluids (for transmissions)
- Modification or alteration of the part
- External damage or accident
